MEETINGS - GENERAL TIME SCHEDULE

JUNE                      THE EVENT each Year is our Boat Rally at the Lake

it starts Friday with our EARLY BIRD MEETING, where we meet for an overnight anchorage at the 'Bauminsel'. Usually KANANASKIS serves as Vienniese Sausage booth

 

Saturday the Rally takes place, which is a sort of race down the Lake some 5-7 nm southbound; we have a stop over with a picknich raft up eg at 'Ruster Schoppen', from there, usually close hauled we go up to the town of Neusiedl

Through a reed channel we reach the little natural harbour in front of the 'Hallenbad Restaurant'. In 1998 13 Wharram Catamaran were moored there over night. One attraction is the terrace of 'Jörgs Restaurant' above the harbour basin. This place provides excellent facilities and is well connected to the (public) transport systems.

Sunday the activities are more laid back - rather late start-, again thru the reed channel. This day provides a chance for visitors to sail on a Wharram and to see the whole fleet sailing. At lunch time we raft all the cats up to a huge pontoon.

                    DECEMBER           WINTERMEET - a social get together in Vienna
