WHARRAM CIRCLE ![]()
OUR BOATS & WHO WE ARE
....we are a group of friends of the ideas of JAMES WHARRAM.
....we talk about, build and sail Wharram Catamarans. We are obviously the largest group worldwide, where this many Wharram trailer catamaran designs are sailing within a few miles. (northern Lake Neusiedl - Austria)
...many other larger designs are being built here (up to a Pahi 63) and James Wharram agent for Europe is living in Vienna - Dr. Gerhard Bobretzky - he translates plans into german and sells them on behalf of JWD, he is also sailing on Lake Neusiedl.
.... historically also interesting, one of the first circumanavigations on a Wharram has his rootes here (Tangaroa - Wolfgang Wappl (81-)

PAHI 63

Peter has built his MOANA a Pahi 63 ALONE here in Vienna, finally he sold out and the boat was converted into a Tiki style ship. Up the Danube river the cat was delivered to the UK (partly with Austrian crew: Winkler, Urbanek & Ulbrich). There the ship was christined again. Her new (not very innovative) name is now BIGCAT
